Hikvision UK & Ireland has been highly commended in two major categories at the 2021 Retail Risk Fraud Awards: for the Retail Risk Vendor of the Year award, and the Most Innovative Retail Risk Management Cross-Functional or Supply Chain Solution category.
The Retail Risk Fraud Awards have shortlists and winners decided by a panel of respected, high-profile judges, including loss prevention experts from major brands, leading retailers, and the police. The Fraud Awards showcase and celebrate the best individual and team performances, innovative new products, and winning industry strategies.
The Fraud Awards presentation ceremony took place at the King Power Stadium in Leicester on December 2. At the glamorous black-tie event, Hikvision’s entries received runner-up Highly Commended status for:
- Most Innovative Retail Risk Management Cross-Functional or Supply Chain Solution:
This Highly Commended placing was for Hikvision’s Fresh Food Waste Reduction Solution, developed in close partnership with a major UK supermarket and expert security integrator Dual-Stream. The solution measures pick accuracy in real time, allowing forensic analysis of collected data and video imagery to improve accuracy and provide actionable insights into operations. Improved accuracy at source reduces waste across the supply chain, allowing for greater operational efficiencies and smarter management of risk. - Retail Risk Vendor of the Year:
Along with the Director of The Year award, the Retail Risk Vendor of the Year is the most high-profile and prestigious of the Fraud Awards. The judges commended Hikvision UK & Ireland as “a vendor who consistently goes over and above the role of ‘just’ being a supplier”. The Vendor of the Year award acknowledges those vendors who form tangible and lasting partnerships with their retail clients.
Hikvision Retail & Logistics Segment Expert Andrew Martin said being highly commended in both of these categories was hugely gratifying.
“At Hikvision we pride ourselves on our collaborative approach with retail partners, and on the innovative, effective solutions we have been able to develop and implement in key retail settings,” he said. “These High Commendations from the Fraud Awards judges are a testament to the close work we do with those clients and our technology partners. We’re thrilled to have been recognised for that relationship-led approach.”
