Security Buyer is pleased to confirm Nicholas Reed, Board Member at UK Security Commonwealth, as a judge for the upcoming Security Buyer Awards 2025, taking place on 1 May 2025. The awards celebrate innovation, leadership and achievement across the global security industry, recognising the individuals and organisations driving progress in the sector.
Nicholas Reed currently serves as European Regional Enterprise Risk Manager for a global blue‑chip organisation, specialising in risk, sustainability, security and organisational governance. His distinguished career spans roles in both consultancy and in‑house management across public and private sectors—including the NHS, Police and the London 2012 Olympics. He has contributed to the development of national security standards and training materials, and holds several advisory and board positions, including with IFPO UK&I, the Food and Drink Security Association, the Security Institute’s validation board, the Security Minds Matter initiative, and as coach for IIRSM Emerging Risk Leaders. His past roles include COO and Executive Director of the National Association for Healthcare Security, Freedom To Speak Up Guardian, PREVENT Lead, and membership of various safeguarding and emergency preparedness forums. He is also active in mental health advocacy and inclusive security initiatives.
“All too often and in part due to the humble nature of our peers, deserving credit goes uncelebrated despite both exceptional work involved and the aspirational impact it can have on others”
