One standout example is the PowerG + Water Tile: a compact sensor that can be placed near boilers, under sinks or in basements to alert homeowners instantly to leaks. Especially in winter, when frozen pipes are the leading cause of household insurance claims, this kind of early warning can prevent costly damage and disruption.
And integration goes even deeper with the PowerG+ Input/Output module, which bridges legacy wired devices and modern wireless systems. This flexibility allows installers to incorporate existing sensors, relays, and automation components into the IQ ecosystem without expensive rewiring. Using PowerG’s encrypted long-range communication, the I/O module ensures secure, reliable connectivity while enabling advanced automation scenarios—such as triggering lights, gates, or HVAC systems based on intrusion or environmental alerts.
