The recent foiled terror plot in Birmingham has re-opened the debate regarding the need for CCTV surveillance in three predominantly Muslim areas of the City covered by the highly-controversial Project Champion.
The Human Rights Film Festival in Birmingham is showing two films – “Article 12” and “Defeat of the Champion” – about CCTV and the “surveillance society”. Peter Mawson went to see the films and participated in a panel discussion afterward.
