ASSA ABLOY UK raise £4,800 in Macmillan coffee morning
ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in door opening solutions, with UK brands including Yale, UNION, Chubb Lock Custodial and Traka raised £4,800 for Macmillan Cancer by taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
Over 1000 employees put their baking skills to the test and tucked into cakes, cookies and sweet treats on Friday across six sites based in Willenhall, Wolverhampton, Milton Keynes, Cheltenham, Alvechurch and Lisburn.
Neil Vann, Market Region Manager at ASSA ABLOY, UK, said:
“We are delighted to have raised such a magnificent sum this year for Macmillan.
“ASSA ABLOY UK supports several charities and the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning was a brilliant way of bringing our employees together across our UK sites to support such a wonderful cause.”
A competition was held to decide the best cake, which inspired creative designs, including an ASSA ABLOY cake, lock shaped cakes and a Wolverhampton Wanderers cake.
Employees from the Milton Keynes site took baking one step further by caking their management team in the face, all in aid of the cause.
The event also incorporated tombolas and a UK wide luxury raffle, with prizes such as a TV, vouchers, champagne and a personalised photo canvas.
The prizes were donated from ASSA ABLOY’s suppliers, including ISS Facility Services, Colter Steels Ltd, Vision Profiles, Quantum Print & Packaging, Global Metal Finishers, Hillsteels, Dynacast, Clevedon, Spectrum Printers, Clevercherry and Edson Evers.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer.
