Mayflex, the cabling infrastructure, networking and electronic security solutions distributor, is a distributor for the BCDVideo family who has recently received great feedback about their BCD380V8 Server from Genetec, a premier video management software (VMS) company.
The Genetec product teams were able to increase the archiving performance of their Security Center Omnicast software with selected BCDVideo servers.
A spokesperson for Genetec said ‘We were very impressed with the test results of this enterprise-class platform, with which we have achieved a total throughput of 700Mbps. The server is certified to support up to 500 cameras and/or 500Mpbs in continuous recording, and provide an additional 200Mbps dedicated for video redirection.’
