UK security systems supplier Burg-Wächter has launched its Secure Communities Awards, offering regional community leaders and volunteers the opportunity to win security products worth up to £200 for their organisation.
The initiative is open to any regional project that is run by, or provides direct support to, the local community. Burg-Wächter said the awards are designed to recognise the ongoing commitment of individuals and groups who dedicate their time and energy to supporting people in their local areas.
Through the Secure Communities Awards, the company aims to help ensure that community leaders and volunteers do not have to worry about the security of their premises, equipment or storage spaces while carrying out their work. Burg-Wächter described the programme as a way of saying thank you to those whose efforts play a vital role in supporting communities across the UK.
The awards are open to a broad range of community initiatives and organisations. Eligible projects may include scout groups, local sports clubs such as cycling or football teams, school after-hours clubs, hospital or healthcare-related community programmes, organisations running activities for children or older adults, village event organisers, and town or village charities.
Any initiative that is community-led or community-focused and has a specific security requirement is encouraged to apply. Burg-Wächter has said it is keen to hear from organisations that would benefit from improved protection for their property, facilities or equipment.
Successful applicants will receive a tailored bundle of security products, valued at up to £200 at retail price. These bundles are intended to help safeguard premises, storage areas and valuable equipment, supporting organisations in continuing their work safely and securely.
Burg-Wächter has a long-standing history of supporting community causes. Since the launch of similar initiatives, the company has supported 97 regional organisations and provided more than 2,000 individual pieces of security equipment to help improve safety at a local level.
The Secure Communities Awards will run on an ongoing basis, reinforcing Burg-Wächter’s commitment to community safety and its support for the people and organisations working to make a positive difference across the country.
