Carrefour Hypermarket, Dubai gets Uniview video solution

Carrefour Hypermarket, Dubai, is now fitted with a Uniview video solution, enhancing the site’s security. 

One of the world’s largest hypermarkets in the MENA region,Carrefour, has been supported by Uniview in creating what has become one of the safest retail centres within the country.

Majid Al Futtaim retail manages hypermarkets throughout the MENA region with the company Carrefour, each of which supply services and products to meet the needs of shoppers at reasonable prices. As a result, floor space within the vicinity measures at 2,400 to 23,000 sqm per store, with 20,000 to 80,000 sqm of food and non-food products.

The Carrefour Hypermarket chose the whole video surveillance solution offered by Uniview. 202 IP cameras are installed in and around the mall, covering the whole shopping areas (incl. the stairs, the elevators and the cashiers). The most high-end NVR (NVR516-128) is used for storage. Six decoders (DC4308-IN) and one keyboard (KB-1100) are adopted in the solution as well. With UNV VMS—EZStation, security managers are able to oversee the whole areas simultaneously in the central control room.

Highlights consist of: 

– NVR516-128: 3 pieces of NVR516-128 are used, out of which 2 are used for storage

– Ease of use: With ever changing staffs, it requires the operations to be simple so that no extra training is needed every time someone new accessing the system. Uniview has fine-tuned the GUI and the EZStation to be user friendly and intuitive

Functionality: The on-board analytics and the ability to save time with features such as Smart Search are huge pluses
