With the release of Command Centre v9.40 in November, Gallagher introduces powerful enhancements that significantly expand the capabilities of its multi-award-winning Controller 7000 (C7000) product range.
The most notable upgrade is the increased door capacity across the C7000 range, including the Standard, Enhanced, and High Security variants, which now supports the optional licensing expansion of up to 24 doors per controller, more than doubling the previous limit of 10.
This leap in scalability allows for streamlined infrastructure, reduced hardware costs, and simplified system architecture, all without compromising performance.

Additional enhancements include a doubling of supported HBUS readers (from 20 to 40) and OSDP readers (from 16 to 32), as well as an increase in inter-controller communications from 60 to 100. These upgrades empower organisations to build larger, more complex networks without compromising performance or manageability.
Command Centre v9.40 also introduces Lock Cycle Counting. This proactive maintenance feature tracks lock usage to prevent unexpected failures.
Proactively managing the life of a lock prevents these occurrences from happening and supports upgrades ahead of time.
Another standout feature is the integration with Microsoft Entra ID for single sign-on. This enables secure, seamless authentication using OpenID Connect, aligning with cloud-first identity strategies and enhancing user management through centralised access control and multi-factor authentication.
