Dallmeier has expanded its Domera product family with the launch of its new RDF6100DN dome camera series – a range designed to offer edge analytics, stronger cybersecurity and a competitive price point.
Developed as an entry-level option for professional environments, the RDF6100DN cameras deliver high resolution and light sensitivity, supported by modern encoder technology and advanced image processing.
The result is real-time footage with strong colour accuracy and contrast, even in challenging lighting. Adaptive IR illumination ensures clear visibility after dark without glare, supported by WDR, day/night switching and onboard EdgeStorage.
The cameras also feature remote configuration through Dallmeier’s RPoD (Remote Positioning Dome) technology. Alignment, zoom, focus and aperture can all be adjusted over the network, reducing installation time and allowing future changes without physical intervention. The company says this will cut project labour costs and ease ongoing maintenance.
AI analytics are built into the device, with neural-network-based classification capable of detecting vehicles and people in real time. The technology is designed to filter background movements, making it suitable for intrusion alerts, counting, parking oversight and loitering detection. By processing at the edge, the system aims to reduce false positives and support faster decision-making on site.
The AI models powering the RDF6100 series are trained internally at Dallmeier’s test facility, maintaining full control over datasets and network behaviour. The manufacturer says this approach enhances reliability, transparency and practical relevance for real-world use – part of its positioning around AI Made in Germany.
Cybersecurity has also been given priority, with Secure Boot preventing unauthorised OS tampering and Trusted Platform Module 2.0 included for FIPS 140 compliance standards.
While originally designed for US federal requirements, FIPS certification is increasingly referenced in global infrastructure tenders, particularly for utilities, government and high-security installations.
The RDF6100DN series is being marketed as a balance of affordability and professional-grade capability, aimed at customers needing AI analytics, low-light performance and robust security features without the higher investment often associated with advanced dome systems.
