France on the spot to protect individuals and infrastructure in Middle East

Creative France

Business France, the national agency in charge of the international development of the French Economy, will be hosting a French Pavilion at INTERSEC DUBAI, the international meeting platform for the Security and Safety industry. As a true springboard for companies looking to develop in the Near and Middle East markets, but also the Indian sub-continent and Asia, INTERSEC remains an attractive event gathering 1,300 exhibitors from 54 countries in 2017. French companies will attend the show this year to showcase a range of services to local authorities but also companies equally keen to raise their security levels.

The exhibitors on the French Pavilion hold technical skills covering the entire security spectrum, with a number of assets such as strong leadership from mathematics and algorithms, to imaging software, identification and cybersecurity. Most of them have a solid background in innovation, initiative-taking capacity, research and a network of cutting-edge laboratories.

The French safety and security industry holds a strong position on the international scene. France ranks in the top 3 in Europe, alongside Germany and the United Kingdom. It is an export-heavy sector for France: exports account for between 25 and 90% of sales, depending on the segment in question.

On a global market estimated at €570 billion, the European security sector weighs €150 billion. Security is a major sector in the French industrial landscape with €35 billion, 1 million jobs across the sector in 2016 and 7% annual growth. The sector is home to a number of major corporations, unquestionable leaders in their fields, along with a large number of SMEs and middle-market companies in highly-specialized sectors such as digital security, anti-fraud, communication, connected objects, video-surveillance, detection, protection equipment and special vehicles.
