Gallagher achieves double Platinum at Govies awards at ISC West Expo for second year
Gallagher Security has announced that it has been recognised for its industry-leading innovation this week with two Platinum awards at the prestigious Govies Government Security Awards during the ISC West Expo in Las Vegas.
The Govies honor outstanding government security products and Gallagher outshone the competition in the Mobile Apps and Outdoor Perimeter Protection categories to take the top awards in both. The win makes it two in a row for Gallagher – the company received Platinum awards in the same categories in 2016. It also marks five consecutive years of Govies success for Gallagher in a variety of categories.
Security Today magazine, one of the principal sponsors of the Govies, said participation in this year’s awards was especially strong, as government security continues to be an ongoing concern. An independent panel of judges from the security industry selected the top entries using a range of criteria, including innovation, user friendliness, quality, technical advances, scalability and impact on the security industry.
The Platinum award in the Mobile Apps category went to the outstandingly innovative Gallagher Mobile Connect App. Harnessing the power of Bluetooth® wireless technology, the Mobile Connect App impressed the judges as a convenient, cost-effective credential management solution, delivering simple, secure mobile access alongside business efficiency. The Mobile Connect App software allows people to use their mobile device as an access credential, instead of an access card. With features including remote provisioning; elimination of lost or stolen cards; two factor authentication (fingerprint or PIN); and the ability to store access credentials for multiple sites, the Gallagher Mobile Connect App was the stand out product in its category.
The judges were also impressed by the Gallagher F4 Fence Controller, adding a second Platinum award in the Outdoor Perimeter Protection category. Described as the next generation in high-performance control for the Gallagher monitored pulse fence system, the F4 Fence Controller was recognized for its superior deter and detect capabilities, while also exceeding global safety standards.
