Integrated Control Technology (ICT) has appointed Piotr Rek as Sales Director for Central and Eastern Europe as the company strengthens its presence across one of Europe’s fastest-growing security markets.
The Auckland-based provider of access control, intrusion detection and building automation solutions said the appointment reflects its commitment to deepening regional support, expanding its partner network and delivering enterprise-grade systems through strong local relationships.
Rek brings almost two decades of experience across electronic security, building automation and public safety. For the past ten years he served as Chief Operating Officer at CDVI Polska, where he helped drive regional sales strategies, broadened distribution channels and introduced advanced access control technologies across the CEE region.
His background also includes significant public-sector involvement, having served on the Parliamentary Committee for the “Third Signal” project, which focused on FM-based early-warning systems for road and rail safety. He also contributed to a working group in the Prime Minister’s Chancellery shaping regulatory frameworks for the certification and deployment of this technology in Poland.
Earlier in his career, Rek held key roles at Comarch, supporting large-scale hardware-software integrations and complex enterprise deployments. ICT says this experience strengthens its commitment to open, interoperable systems and a partner-led approach to solution delivery.
In his new role, Rek will be responsible for ICT’s regional growth strategy and partner development across a wide territory, including Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Greece, Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus and Kosovo.
Thomas Napora, ICT’s Vice President and General Manager for EMEA, said Rek brings “a powerful combination of regional expertise, strategic leadership, and deep knowledge of the access control ecosystem”, adding that his appointment will help accelerate growth and strengthen partnerships throughout the region.
Rek described Central and Eastern Europe as one of the continent’s fastest-expanding security markets. He said the flexibility and open architecture of ICT’s Protege GX platform make it well suited to regional needs and that he looks forward to combining global innovation with strong local collaboration to deliver value for partners.
