IDIS has introduced two new PTZ surveillance cameras with AI-powered auto-tracking designed to improve monitoring in busy environments.
The latest models broaden the company’s PTZ range, offering options suited to open areas such as public spaces, commercial offices, schools, logistics centres, warehouses, retail sites and perimeter locations.
The new NDAA-compliant cameras are the 4MP AI PTZ (LightMaster) DC-S6481HRA and the Mini 5MP AI PTZ (DC-S4561WRA. They join the recently launched Edge AI Plus 8MP and 6MP cameras from South Korea’s largest in-country surveillance manufacturer.
Each model features IDIS Deep Learning Analytics, powered by the in-house-developed IDIS Deep Learning Engine.
Designed to support control rooms and operators, these functions include AI auto-tracking, which detects and classifies objects in real time, distinguishing between people, vehicles and background movement such as shadows or foliage.
When a target is detected, the camera locks on and follows it across its field of view, adjusting zoom and angle. Targets can be chosen automatically by event triggers or selected manually.
The analytics support object detection, intruder alerts and loitering detection. By reducing false alarms, the system is intended to improve the speed of investigations and the export of forensic evidence, while supporting faster incident response.
Both PTZ cameras include Electronic Image Stabilisation to maintain image quality during pan, tilt and zoom movements. IDIS Smart Failover ensures recording continuity if network interruptions occur.
The outdoor 4MP AI PTZ has NIR night vision up to 400 metres and features IK10 vandal resistance and IP66 environmental protection. The compact 5MP model offers a 100-metre NIR range and is designed for discreet installation in limited spaces.

The cameras include IDIS DirectIP technology, offering automatic device configuration, plug-and-play setup and one-click connection to simplify installation and maintenance.
