IFSEC Istanbul conference programme – ‘A vision towards 2023’

IFSEC-IstanbulThe organisers of IFSEC Istanbul have announced details of the inaugural IFSEC Istanbul Conference, entitled ‘A vision towards 2023 for the region’s security industry’.

As part of the renowned IFSEC Global Academy, this dynamic and interactive conference programme will take place from the 30th September – 2nd October at the Lutfi Kirdar Convention and Exhibition Centre, Istanbul.

With exclusive support from Turkey’s leading security associations, including GESIDER, GUSOD and ÖGF, the unique programme caters for the burgeoning security and fire industry in the region. Recognising the market need, this is the first conference to engage with the key security professionals who help shape the future of the industry in Turkey, wider Southeast Europe and Central Asia. Targeting high profile visitors from the Government and Private sector, the conference is designed to facilitate networking and engagement in thought provoking debate. Delegates will come away from the event with a full understanding of the immediate and future needs of the industry, how they can learn from leading global case studies, and how to contribute to the development of the industry in the region.

At the hub of Southeast Europe, IFSEC Istanbul presents a learning platform for visitors to gain more knowledge and understanding of how security challenges have been addressed on both a global and local scale. In addition to addressing the State of the Nation on Day one, the topical issues the programme will address include Transport Security, Security for Municipalities and large scale applications, Cash in Transit and the Role of Personnel in Security and Education for the security professional.

The Conference and Exhibition will be opened by the Turkey Minister of Interior, Muammer Guler, who will address delegates and outline the importance of the agenda for the security industry in the region. As part of an opening ceremony, VIPs and government representatives will receive a guided tour of what is happening at the show and the delegates will be presented with an opportunity to identify which exhibitors are most relevant for them.

In anticipation for IFSEC Istanbul he said: “London 2012 proved to be one of the largest security challenges for the United Kingdom. IFSEC Istanbul provides the perfect platform to discuss what makes an effective security strategy and present our learnings from the experience.”

With keynote panel debates concluding each module, VVIPS and industry professionals will share their knowledge with audience participators. We’re looking forward to providing delegates with valuable insight into where top level security professionals see the industry heading.”
