B-web 93 00 terminal awarded the reddot product design award 2011
We are delighted to announce that our application for this year’s internationally highly renowned Red Dot design award was successful.
The Kaba B-Web 9300 time and attendance terminal won the eminent “red dot design award 2011”, gaining an “honourable mention”.
Around 1,700 companies from more than 60 countries applied for this particular award with over 4,433 products, but ultimately, only the very best products managed to convince the distinguished jury of experts.
Behind a high-quality glass front, the B-web 93 00 terminal meets the current and future requirements for any time and attendance application. The modern aesthetics of the device fit harmoniously into contemporary architecture and the purist design is underlined by modern user guidance.
The intuitive operation is carried out by means of “Guide by light“, where only current available functions are illuminated. The recoil case means that the terminal appears to float in front of the wall and the newly developed wall holder ensures installation is made significantly easier.
“As always, our jury reviewed the submitted products extremely critically. Design quality clearly prevailed in the judging process and genuine, new creative solutions were also honoured. Both criteria are not only an indicator of good design but also for success potential on the market. This is increased several times over by the specific use of our renowned design award,” explains Professor Dr. Peter Zec, initiator of the red dot design award.
Today, the red dot design award, the origins of which go back to 1955, is the largest and most renowned design competition in the world. It is divided into the three disciplines “red dot award: product design“, “red dot award: communication design” and “red dot award: design concept“.
