Kirintec heads to Ravens Challenge in Thailand
This September, Kirintec will be travelling across continent to participate in Ravens Challenge ASEAN.
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations* Ravens Challenge event is in Hua Hin, Thailand. The event takes place on Monday 5 until Friday 9 September 2016, furthermore this is the first time we will be presenting solutions at Ravens Challenge.
Ravens Challenge™ is said to be the pinnacle of Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and Counter Improved Explosive Device (C-IED) events. Therefore it brings together multi-jurisdictional, multi-service, and multi-national EOD teams and C-IED professionals from various countries, across the globe.
The format allows experienced international EOD teams to try their hand at realistic Improvised Explosive Device (IED) scenarios with functional training aids, consequently participants can replicate real world IED incidents.

- Unit 191 (EOD) Thai police
Ravens Challenge is officially endorsed by the Certified Counter Terrorism Practioner (CCTP). This is especially relevant as they recognise the importance of increasing EOD and Counter IED’s unit capabilities; proactively sharing knowledge and their expertise in the on-going fight against terrorism.
The closed event is for military and Government officials only.
Importantly it provides an excellent format to demonstrate capability, as a result this means that under realistic conditions we can properly showcase our offering to customers. We expect that mock-exercises might include: route clearance, VIP protection and defeating IEDs.
