Milestone Systems, a provider of data-driven video technology software, has announced the opening of its new office and Experience Center in Mulgrave, Melbourne. The move comes at a time of expansion for the company following strong financial results across the APAC region in 2023.
The new Experience Center (EC) is a significant expansion of Milestone’s first EC in Australia which opened in 2018. The concept has been significantly modernized, focusing on interactivity for a more hands-on experience, rather than the visual experience previously presented to partners and customers. Individual touchscreens allow users to tap into ten times more camera feeds than the previous incarnation and provide hands-on experience of advanced features such as license plate recognition and vehicle tracking, facial recognition, situational awareness, and IoT sensors, integrating diverse technologies enabled via video. It is designed to be the most interactive in the industry, catering to a wide array of vendors and technologies, and currently supports an ecosystem of more than 14,000 devices.
Designed to inspire, the new Milestone EC allows stakeholders to innovate and customize solutions to find the perfect solution for their specific requirements, without limitations. It provides a comprehensive testing ground for high-level video deployments and a pathway to increased operational efficiency. The technology itself is designed to be ‘industry agnostic’ and can be used to design technologies across various industries rather than focusing on specific vertical markets. Users can design their ideal solution for industries such as mining, healthcare, education, and retail deployments.

Further to this, the power of Milestone’s open platform allows solutions to be added as technologies evolve, effectively future-proofing any customized deployments.
Moving far beyond security, solutions are being tailored to industry and general needs such as bushfire detection, pedestrian heat-mapping in retail centers, flood alerts, remote monitoring of heavy machinery in mines, and much more.

The EC focuses on customer engagement, with partners encouraged to book the space to demonstrate key features of their technologies. Hands-on demonstrations will allow customers to see firsthand how various technologies integrate with the Milestone Systems suite, including XProtect, BriefCam, Hospital Assist and Kite.
