Milestone Systems appoints new Country Managers for Middle East and Africa

Milestone Systems has announced the appointment of Mohammed Riyaz as Country Manager for the Middle East region and Armand Steffens as Country Manager for the African continent (except Northwest Africa). The appointments mark another step up in Milestone’s dedication to these fast moving regions with an ever growing demand for true open platform technology, the company said.

Director Milestone Middle East, Africa and DACH, Christian Ringler, said: “We are gearing up the organization to further support our strong growth in the Middle East and Africa. By introducing a dedicated Country Manager for Africa and one for the Middle East, we will ensure a greater local presence in each region. Both candidates are dedicated to supporting our local partner communities, with the focus of creating optimal solutions for customers in their areas.”

Mohammed Riyaz – New Country Manager in the Middle East organization

Mohammed Riyaz will head up the Middle East team, which includes offices in Jeddah and Dubai. Riyaz brings to Milestone a strong background in business strategy development and leadership of regional sales teams in the technical industry. With 11 years’ experience from the Gulf markets, his peers see him as someone who is highly competent and easy to collaborate with.

Dedicated to developing strong projects and new markets, Riyaz is looking forward to meet the Milestone Community at the upcoming Milestone Community Days EMEA (MIPS).

Armand Steffens – New Country Manager dedicated to the African Continent

Armand Steffens already has a proven track record with Milestone, as Channel manager in South Africa the last one and a half years. As Country Manager he is taking on more responsibility and is covering the offices in Johannesburg and Beirut as well.

It is his goal to ensure even greater focus is placed on the African markets and further development of the local Milestone community.

Steffens will be building on his more than 15-years of experience in the industry to realize Milestones expansion strategy for the African continent. “Milestone is such a phenomenal company. I immediately became passionate about it. The culture, the people, organization and the products are all targeted to deliver on our mission and vision. Together with my team in Africa, I would like to echo the Milestone values and further embed Africa into the Milestone Community.“
