ObjectTech has been selected to join government-backed cyber innovation centre

ObjectTech has been selected as one of eleven scaling companies to join the London Office for Rapid Cybersecurity Advancement (LORCA) a DCMS-backed centre opened last year dedicated to cyber innovation.
ObjectTech are working at the vanguard of ID technology. The company gives people back control of their personal data by providing a ‘distributed identity locker’ in a process known as Self-Sovereign Identity (SSID).  This enables individuals to prove their identity to businesses and government whilst retaining ownership of their securely stored data. ObjectTech’s mission is to create a world where your identity is more powerful than ever. A world with one ID for everything and for life.
LORCA is providing some of the UK’s brightest cyber security stars with a full year of bespoke support to address business challenges and achieve greater impact with their innovative solutions. They will work to develop fast solutions for the two largest cybersecurity challenges as identified by LORCA; user-centric security and securing supply chains.
ObjectTech are expected to grow exponentially in 2019 and are excited by the partnership as it is one of the few programmes to focus on supporting cyber security companies navigate the challenges of rapid growth.
The Founder and CEO of ObjectTech is Paul Ferris, who was recognised as one of 2018’s top tech influencers by One World Identity, alongside global names such as Allen Zhang, the creator of WeChat. He commented on today’s announcement; “In 2018 the world woke up to the fact that data is a powerful tool; we need to design it to be under our control, not in the possession of others. ObjectTech was set up to do precisely that, whilst making it easier to prove who we are in a seamless way. This approach brings benefits to the multiple stakeholders who exchange information between people, governments, banks and services. We’re delighted that LORCA will be helping us deliver impact on our mission.”
Started in 2016, ObjectTech has already secured a deal with the Dubai government, who announced in 2017 that they will partner with ObjectTech to bring blockchain-based security to the Dubai airport. Forbes have this year listed the company as one of five to watch in 2019.
Jason Mollring, Programme lead, LORCA says, “We’re really excited to be welcoming ObjectTech into our next cohort of cyber innovators. Having spoken to industry, we’re aware that securing vast, global supply chains and finding people-centric cyber solutions are top on their agenda. We think our cohort has some fantastic solutions that can address these challenges, and we’re looking forward to helping them scale, develop their solutions and find the right partners during the course of the programme.”
