Pulse Secure: Secure Access Challenges for Hybrid IT
Celebrates its one-year anniversary as it focuses on addressing evolving enterprise security and business enablement needs
Pulse Secure is celebrating its one-year anniversary as a standalone entity, after separating from Juniper Networks. Building on 15 years of security experience, Pulse Secure is delivering next generation secure access solutions to address the evolving security needs of enterprise customers.
Pulse Secure protects more than 20,000 customers and 18 million endpoints across all industries including finance, healthcare, public sector, manufacturing, and retail.
“Since its spin-off from Juniper Networks last October, Pulse Secure has built strong momentum in the secure access space,” said Jeff Wilson, research director, cybersecurity technology, IHS, a Campbell, California market research firm.
Having completed a transition to operate as a standalone company in August, Pulse Secure has established global sales and support teams for its customers and partners. Pulse Secure’s Connect Now Partner Program includes more than 1,500 partners in 95 countries including CDW, Computacenter, DimensionData, GTT, Ingram Micro, Insight, NTT, Optiv, and SHI.

Pulse Secure is executing on its vision of Next Generation Secure Access, which combines the benefits of SSL VPN, network access control and mobility management to solve new customer use cases associated with “hybrid IT” environments – the need for devices to leverage enterprise data centers, public/private clouds and Software-as-a-Service applications.
The company has significantly refreshed its product line over the last year, including major software releases for each of its main offerings: Pulse Connect Secure, Pulse Policy Secure and Pulse Workspace. In July, the company released the new Pulse Secure Appliance series, a high-performance set of devices that serve as the platform to help customers’ solve their hybrid IT security challenges. Pulse One, the company’s SaaS-based central policy manager, was announced earlier this year to provide a unified solution that enables customers to implement a total secure access environment.

Market-leading expertise
To address the rapidly evolving needs of a dynamic and growing market, Pulse Secure has placed a strong emphasis on development of its employee base and leadership team. In addition to announcing Sudhakar Ramakrishna as CEO in June, Pulse Secure has increased its total number of employees by 50 percent to almost 500 total employees. Global expansion has also been a top priority for the company, and along with establishing its EMEA sales and go-to-market team, it has opened offices in London, Tokyo and Singapore.
