QSG Public Space Projects Short-Listed For Awards

QSG Public Space projects short-listed for Security Excellence Awards 2014

The Public Space team at Quadrant Security Group (QSG) features twice in the final round of this year’s IFSEC Security & Fire Excellence Awards.

The two projects shortlisted, for “Security Partnering Initiative of the Year” and “Security Project or Installation of the Year” respectively, are QSG’s innovative partnership with Luton Borough Council and a shared control room project for Newark & Sherwood DC, Ashfield DC and Broxtowe BC councils.

Ian Moore, Sector Lead Public Space at QSG, said:

“We’re delighted to see our work short-listed for these prestigious awards. Both projects show that innovation and clever use of technology can help local authorities improve performance of their CCTV and security provision, even as budgets are cut.”

“In the case of Ashfield, Newark & Broxtowe, we enabled councils to access better infrastructure more cost-efficiently by sharing it, while going one step further with Luton, where we took over the complete running of the control room in a unique division of labour between us and the council’s FM team – with guaranteed cost savings for Luton.”
