IDIS’ DC-Y8D11WRA is a 12.5MP AI fisheye camera designed to combine panoramic coverage, deep-learning analytics and automated subject tracking in a single device. Built around a 1/1.6-inch CMOS sensor and 3520 x 3520 maximum resolution, the camera delivers a full 180-degree horizontal, vertical and diagonal field of view, allowing one device to monitor a broad scene without the blind spots associated with narrower fixed views.
What makes the model particularly relevant as an AI solution is its Panoramic Auto-Tracking capability. Rather than relying only on a dewarped fisheye view, the camera can detect and follow moving objects across the panoramic scene. IDIS positions the model as its industry-first 12.5MP panoramic auto-tracking fisheye camera, combining this tracking function with embedded deep-learning analytics.
AI applied across the full scene
The DC-Y8D11WRA uses IDIS Deep Learning Analytics for object detection, intrusion detection, loitering detection and line-crossing events. These functions enable the camera to distinguish and respond to activity within a monitored area rather than simply recording everything indiscriminately.
A-cut and AI Search support extend the value of those analytics into recorded-video investigation, helping operators locate relevant events more quickly. For live use, IDIS SmartUX provides a dynamic fisheye viewing experience, while panoramic auto-tracking is designed to maintain awareness of moving subjects across the camera’s wide field of view.
The camera also includes Zone Adaptive IR divided across four zones. This allows infrared illumination to be adjusted across different areas of the panoramic image rather than treating the entire scene uniformly. IDIS combines this with Dynamic Power Balancer technology and a motorised-focus system intended to maintain useful image quality across varying conditions.
Panoramic imaging built for operational deployment
Alongside its AI capabilities, the camera is designed for demanding surveillance installations. It provides 120dB True WDR and operates down to 0.13 lux in colour at F2.0, while integrated IR supports operation at 0 lux in black and white. The fixed 1.7mm F2.0 lens provides its 180-degree field of view.
Power is supplied through 12V DC or PoE using IEEE 802.3at Class 4, and the unit measures 157.5mm in diameter by 73mm high, with a weight of approximately 1.1kg. It carries UL, FCC, CE and KC approvals and is listed by IDIS as NDAA and TAA compliant.
By combining high-resolution panoramic imaging with embedded AI detection, intelligent search and automated tracking, the DC-Y8D11WRA reduces the separation between wide-area awareness and event-focused investigation. Its key contribution is not AI as an added software layer, but AI integrated directly into the way a fisheye camera observes, follows and helps operators retrieve activity across an entire scene.
