Digital Monitoring Products’ VPLUS-7121-FE is a 12MP fisheye camera designed to combine wide-area video coverage with onboard analytics and direct integration into the wider DMP security ecosystem. Part of the company’s expanded VUE Plus portfolio, the indoor/outdoor PoE camera provides a 360-degree field of view from a single device, making it suited to locations where operators need comprehensive situational awareness without installing multiple fixed cameras.
Its 12MP resolution provides the image detail required to make effective use of a panoramic scene, while built-in dewarping modes allow operators to transform the fisheye image into more practical viewing formats for live monitoring and investigation.
The camera also brings DMP’s AlarmVision capabilities directly to the video device, combining surveillance with intelligent alarm verification rather than treating the camera purely as a recording endpoint.
360-degree coverage with onboard analytics
The VPLUS-7121-FE incorporates intelligent analytics capable of identifying people and vehicles within the monitored area. This enables the camera to distinguish relevant activity from general movement and provide greater context around security events.
Its fisheye architecture is particularly suited to environments including retail floors, reception areas, warehouses, commercial buildings and other open spaces where activity may occur in several directions simultaneously.
A built-in microphone provides an additional source of situational information alongside the camera’s panoramic video. When integrated into a DMP installation, AlarmVision enables video intelligence to form part of the wider alarm workflow, helping operators assess events with visual context rather than relying solely on conventional alarm signals.
Integrated into the wider DMP platform
The VPLUS-7121-FE is ONVIF compliant, giving integrators greater flexibility when deploying the camera alongside compatible third-party video infrastructure.
Within DMP’s own ecosystem, installers can add the camera through Dealer Admin, while end users can access live video and cloud-recorded clips through DMP’s associated platforms. Push notifications can alert users to relevant activity, providing a direct link between detection and remote response.
PoE connectivity further simplifies deployment by carrying network connectivity and power over a single cable, reducing the infrastructure required at the camera position.
The VPLUS-7121-FE therefore combines three areas increasingly important to commercial surveillance: high-resolution panoramic coverage, edge-based intelligence and integration with wider alarm systems. By using one 12MP camera to monitor a complete 360-degree scene while applying analytics at the device, DMP provides a camera designed to support both proactive alarm verification and retrospective video investigation.
