Securitas Sponsors the OSPAs Thought Leadership Summit

Securitas is proud to sponsor the Thought Leadership Summit, on 1st March, at this year’s OSPAs (Outstanding Security Performance Awards).

New for 2018, the Summit will invite debate and discussion from a leading line-up of speakers on the best way to take the security industry forward, confirmed speakers include:

  • The Rt Hon Greg Clark MP, Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy
  • Ian Dyson QPM, Commissioner, City of London Police
  • Andrew Thomson, Director of Property Services, The Shard
  • Craig Robb, Chief Commercial Officer, Securitas UK

Craig Robb, Chief Commercial Officer at Securitas UK comments: “I look forward to joining the speaker panel at this year’s Thought Leadership Summit – it’s a great opportunity to bring together different thought leaders and influencers, to encourage a wider debate on security. The audience in attendance will also have an opportunity to contribute to the discussions and ask questions of the panel.

“The security industry is going through a period of transformation – moving away from a traditional guarding and transactional commodity approach, to value driven, predictive total security solutions. Investment in new technologies will be essential as will a change in perception of the security officer role and the security industry as a whole.”

Professor Martin Gill, founder and director of the OSPAs comments:

The OSPAs are about recognising excellence. The aim of this summit is to bring different thought leaders together – people who can offer their own insights for debate. It will provide the opportunity to listen to what opinion formers think, while contributing to the discussion around what security does and how it is perceived.  The quality of what we have in the future will depend on the quality of debate we have now.
