Also moving forward into the new year with style is the SecurityNewsDesk Newspaper. The SND16 Newspaper landed on doorsteps the first week of January this year, and as the official news providers for Intersec 2016, will be distributed internationally at the Dubai show, January 17th – 19th.

Looking to SND17, we are very happy to welcome Steven Jones, an experienced Maritime security professional, as SecurityNewsDesk’s new Maritime Correspondent. A former director of The Security Association for the Maritime Industry (SAMI), Steven is a specialist writer and consultant in maritime affairs.

“I am really pleased to join Security NewsDesk – covering the maritime industry, discussing the wealth of opportunities, challenges and threats which exist, from both a security and risk management perspective,” he said.

Recent examples of Steven’s work for SecurityNewsDesk include Oceans Beyond Piracy, The rising tide of terror facing shipping and the Growing concerns in maritime security.

This news follows the recent addition of regular guest editorial from renowned journalist Nick Kochan, a foremost commentator on politics, banking and financial services, emerging markets and forensic topics – as well as being a noted biographer of leading political figures including Tony Blair and Gordon Brown.
