360 Vision Technology and Meyertech partnership

360 Vision Technology and Meyertech partnership delivers effective ONVIF compliant systems integration. Promoting the company’s ethos of establishing close technical working partnerships, CCTV design and manufacturing company 360 Vision Technology, in conjunction with systems control company Meyertech, have developed fast & easy set-up, and deep control for 360 Vision’s range of ONVIF compliant cameras. Right from the outset, the manufacturers’ technical relationship has spearheaded an objective to develop product offerings from both companies that will easily and seamlessly integrate when installed within any application, utilising the ONVIF protocol. Thanks to the ongoing technical partnership between the two UK-based technology manufacturers, simple product set-up, deep systems integration and performance benefits are built into many applications and sizes of CCTV installations across the globe. However, the manufacturers’ long-term technical partnership extends much further than just a shared protocol, as Mark Rees, Business Development Director at 360 Vision explains: “Right from the design stage of any new product, our respective R&D teams interact to ensure the camera equipment we introduce to market is as best performing, and simple to set-up and use it possibly can be.” For installations using the enterprise-class FUSION-Eclipse Video Management Software (VMS), through to the simple (4-camera) Nano VMS, the deployment of 360 Vision ONVIF compliant cameras offers simple 2-click integration into any Meyertech control solution. David Wood, CRM and Business Development Executive for Meyertech explains: Users of our FUSION-Eclipse VMS software simply select the ‘Discovery’ tool and then add the desired 360 Vision camera from the list of devices available in a drop down menu, the camera is then ready for use in the system – in just a couple of clicks! Further to that, the usual IP camera options such as frame rate and video resolution are easily configured in an intuitive sub menu, and features such as IR and white lights, wipers, and pre-set tours on 360 Vision’s Predator cameras can be selected directly.” In this way, any 360 Vision camera can be integrated into a Meyertech controlled CCTV system in minutes. The partnership continues to ensure that 360 Vision cameras are as simple as possible to integrate into existing systems or add to new installations – minimising installation time and maximising system performance. Mark Rees concludes: “As an acknowledged industry leader, 360 Vision is always looking to partner with like-minded CCTV systems integration manufacturers. With our long term technical relationship with Meyertech, we are not only ensuring installers and end-users can enjoy a fully integrated, hassle-free systems control experience, but to the wider world market, promote the benefits to be gained by specifying ‘Best of British’ integrated surveillance solutions.”

CCTV manufacturer 360 Vision Technology appoints Adrian Kirk as sales manager

It is a case of friends reunited as 360 Vision Technology, the UK’s number one CCTV manufacturer, moved fast to snap up the services of Adrian Kirk as their new sales manager, reuniting Adrian with the Predator camera he has already spent several years promoting. Adrian is a well respected figure in the industry, having spent the last 15 years as a national sales and business development manager for some of the biggest names in security technology, including Crime Prevention Services, PMD Technologies, Leerose Integrated Systems and Reliance Security Services and is now further enhancing his credentials in electronic security. 360 Vision Technology’s flagship Predator camera was the star performer with Adrian’s former company, so it is very much a case of CCTV friends reunited as Adrian needs no introduction to the benefits and advantages of the product and has been able to hit the ground running. Adrian, 41, joins 360 Vision Technology in the wake of RapidVu’s closure following the sad death of chairman Peter Beare in July, having spent some time working with Security Media Publishing in the interim. “It’s a great feeling to be joining the manufacturers of Predator, but I’m indebted to Security Media for supporting me at what was a difficult time following Peter’s death,” said Adrian when commenting on his appointment. “He was an irreplaceable figure and many in the industry remain shocked at his passing. Peter was a rock to me and Security Media gave me a much appreciated opportunity to retain my contacts and presence within the industry; which has led me to renew my relationship with 360 Vision Technology and this visionary CCTV product.” A well established, world class CCTV manufacturer, 360 Vision Technology produce high quality security systems utilising the firm’s technical expertise and industry experience, with a research department that is second to none. The Predator is such a sophisticated product that Adrian’s former company had no problems in establishing its benefits as a rugged, practical CCTV system which is helping protect police, prison, utility and MOD sites across the UK. As existing public space cameras reach the end of their service life, Adrian will be working closely with Local Authorities across the UK and Ireland to provide a viable and rugged alternative to the normal commercial grade dome cameras which can be more costly to maintain and vulnerable to attack. “I’m proud to be back promoting an amazing UK designed and manufactured product,” added Adrian. “This is not just a question of patriotism, either. Having a UK based development team means a superior customer service and response and that the adoption of new features is quick. This has allowed for the fast evolution of the Predator range and is already providing end users with some major technical advantages and I’m looking forward to continuing to extol the virtues of the product in the weeks and months ahead.” When not at the office, his love of sports, keep-fit and amateur dramatics takes up much of Adrian’s leisure time, although as the 360 Vision Technology sales manager charged with introducing the latest CCTV technology to potential new customers, Adrian will rarely be away from his desk for very long! Adrian’s appointment is the first in a number of key senior positions 360 Vision Technology is creating to take advantage of the continuing growth in the CCTV marketplace. Predator Ferrari back for another British GT campaign

Phil Burton and Adam Wilcox – podium finishers in the Avon Tyres British GT Championship in 2009 and ’10 – are to return to the series this year with their Predator CCTV Ferrari 430 Scuderia, the duo announced today. Often a qualifying pacesetter last season, Wilcox hopes that the bad luck which sometimes affected their race results will be a thing of the past: “We have had some misfortune in British GT over the past year, but that said we were always up there and on the pace when it was all together. The Ferrari has been rebuilt over the winter and a few problems have been highlighted, so we are all confident we can be right at the front of the field yet again but this time come away with the results. We lost a couple of chances for victory last year due to minor problems; hopefully 2011 will be our year for some luck.” A new squad will be preparing the Scuderia for Lichfield-domiciled Wilcox, 34, and his Cheshire-based co-driver Burton, Gerry Wainwright Motorsport taking over from Rowan Racing for 2011. Burton and Wilcox are the latest in a long line of British GT competitors to announce their intentions to enliven the grid for 2011. The MTECH team plans a twin-Ferrari attack with race winners Duncan Cameron and Matt Griffin driving one of the squad’s new 458s, while 2009 champions David and Godfrey Jones are set to debut the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 in the UK. Other teams to have declared their intentions include reigning champions Trackspeed, which plans to have two Porsche 911 GT3Rs in the pack, and new team Scuderia Vittoria, planning to field a Ferrari 458 and an Ascari KZR1. United Autosports will field two Audi R8 LMS machines. Further exciting announcements about new cars, teams and marques are expected in the coming weeks. “It is great to see Phil and Adam returning with the Scuderia,” Says championship manager Benjamin Franassovicci, “and I am sure that they will be a competitive force with the Ferrari 430 Scuderia, which I expect to be competitive this season even with the arrival of new machinery. I am very pleased also that entries in the GT3, GT3 Class B, GT4 and GT Cup classes are shaping up already and I am confident that we will have a minimum grid of 20.” The first event on the British GT calendar is the 8 March media day at Silverstone and the following full-day test event. The championship is sponsored by UK tyre manufacturer Avon Tyres and is further supported by Sunoco Racing Fuels, Anglo American Oil Company and OAMPS.
