Hochiki Europe to launch series of Life Safety Webinars

Leading manufacturer, Hochiki Europe, is launching a new series of accredited webinars to support those working with life safety and moisture detection systems. The educational seminars will be CPD accredited and hosted by Hochiki experts, running from December 2019 until March 2020. They will cover a range of vitally important topics for specifiers, installers, facilities managers and consultants. The first webinar in the series will focus on the importance of moisture detection and the implicated costs this has for the insurance industry when properties go unprotected. Continuing to answer the industry’s most pressing subjects, future topics will discuss grey areas when it comes to current multi-sensor accreditation, as well as ensuring best practice for life safety in schools and hospitals. Paul Adams, Marketing Manager, Hochiki Europe said: “These sessions are free to attend and will offer technical guidance on the some of the most important challenges in life safety. Our last seminar, which focused on updates to emergency lighting legislation, proved extremely popular. There is limited space, so if you’re looking for support and expertise that will help you make more informed decisions when dealing with life safety systems, then get in touch as soon as possible.” To reserve your place on any of the webinars, email hochikieurope@tangerinecomms.com, for further information.

Whether using Infra-Red or White-Light, the sessions offer practical tips and guidelines to help maximise the night-time performance of your surveillance system and aid the specification of the best fit-for-purpose general lighting. Comparing Lighting Specifications: Wed 7th Sept Designed to make the lighting design and specification process easier and more informed, this webinar will allow security professionals to understand the differences between LED lighting and other technologies, effectively assess a range of different LED illuminators and their features, and understand what features are necessary for different installations. This webinar will compare LED lighting vs thermal Imaging vs bullet cameras as well as taking a look at the techniques behind controlling LED lifetime, specifying illumination distances, power levels and measuring light. Lighting Fundamentals – understanding the basics: Wed 5th Oct This session will give security professionals a core understanding of the principles of lighting allowing the specification, installation and use of lighting to be more informed and achieve better night-time pictures. The webinar will explore light and surface, brightness and glare, colour rendering and images, reflectance and lenses, and using the inverse square law to deploy multiple illuminators.
