Advancis to present new WinGuard module at Intersec 2017

Security and building security management specialist Advancis is to present a new control operations module for its PSIM WinGuard system, as well as a WinGuard app at the Intersec 2017 trade show in Dubai.

Advancis says the new function module offers a workflow enabling reliable control management by automating control times when the PSIM is coupled with fire alarm systems.

The company says it is possible to define single or cyclical time periods during which particular data points (connected sensors and actors) will be placed into a defined target status and monitored. If, after a defined tolerance time, there are deviating states remaining, e.g. due to failed control commands, this will be signaled to the user.

In particular, for coupling fire alarm systems to PSIM platforms, control operations are of special relevance. If fire detectors are not disabled or bypassed correctly during maintenance work, false alarms might be triggered. Neither must a planned disabling of fire detectors be forgotten nor the later re-enabling, as a non-detection of a real fire would of course also have drastic impact.

In addition to automatization of control times, the control operations module also takes over their administration and documentation. Jan Meiswinkel, CEO of Advancis (headquarters in Frankfurt/Germany), commented:

Further innovations are the WinGuard Android App as well as the connection of current communication systems (SIP/VoIP). In addition, WinGuard offers increased data and communication security due to most recent encryption technology. Highest reliability is guaranteed thanks to multi-level server redundancy.
