Civintec uTouch makes smart phone a credential for door access

World-leading designer and manufacturer of smart card terminals and devices, Civintec, has rolled out a new generation of uTouch benefits to complete its RFID card reader functionality, meaning that the user’s smart phone can be used as a credential for door access.

It includes NFC and Bluetooth smart phone technology, combined with optional biometric fingerprint sensor and touch PIN code for versatile secure level authentications.

It features BLE(Bluetooth Low Energy) and NFC technology ISO18092, and the NFC tags and NFC smart phone in Peer to Peer mode build excellent Keyless mobile application, Civintec said.

According to the company, it is convenient to work with all brands of smart phone by Bluetooth and NFC technology.

Based on Android O.S. 5.1 and embedded 1.4GHz quad-core processor, it has a highly sensitive capacitive touch screen with faster, more efficient, intuitive and comfortable self service and user experience. Most importantly, uTouch is an open development platform with embedded Android OS and SDK complete source code for third party systems integration, and software developer to build innovative applications.

Support 13.56MHz smart card CSN or encrypted protected data from RFID smart card utilizing key diversification and muntual authentication routines, with one or more SAM for secure data encryption.

Embedded TCP/IP, Wifi, 4G wire and wireless communication interfaces for data synchronize to build network central management system. TCP/IP integrated terminal connects directly to the IP network for easy and low cost network system, support 4G, Wifi flexible for wire wireless communication on any occasion.

With biometric identification enabled via a fingerprint sensor plus algorithms with less than 0.76s identification speed, uTouch is a much more efficient and secure solution with protection and with higher privacy level than a traditional physical punching machine system.

Meanwhile, a built-in battery and PoE ensure stable working operation during power failure and utilizes PoE enhance stability for low cost installation, Civintec said.
