Gallagher Security has expanded its direct presence in the Middle East, establishing a regional team and new headquarters in Dubai Silicon Oasis as it moves away from its previous distribution-led operating model.
The security manufacturer confirmed on 19 August that its Middle East entity is now operational, following more than two decades of activity in the region. The business will support customers and channel partners across sectors including critical infrastructure, banking, healthcare, education, commercial property and government.
The move is significant within a region where infrastructure investment, smart city development and major construction programmes continue to generate demand for integrated access control, perimeter security and identity management.
Regional team takes shape
Gallagher has appointed an established local leadership team to oversee the operation.
Sharbil Khalil, Director of Operations, brings more than 22 years of electronic security experience and has worked with Gallagher technology in the Middle East since its introduction to the region in 2002.
Regional Sales Director Khodor Habbouche has nearly 16 years of experience supporting Gallagher customers and partners across the Middle East, while National Technical Manager Rami Mousleh brings 15 years of experience working with integrated security systems and technology partners. Ibrahim Ghazal will serve as Business Development Manager, focusing on consultants, end users and new regional opportunities.
The appointments reflect the increasing importance of providing technical and commercial support close to large enterprise and critical infrastructure deployments, particularly where systems involve multiple manufacturers and complex integrations.
Dubai hub targets training and integration
Gallagher’s new Dubai Silicon Oasis headquarters will also include a dedicated experience centre and training hub.
The facility is intended to demonstrate the company’s access control, perimeter and integrated security technologies while providing training for partners and customers. Gallagher said the centre will also showcase integrations with third-party technology.
For security buyers, the wider development reflects the increasing localisation of the international security market. Large organisations in the Middle East increasingly require suppliers to provide regional technical expertise, training, cybersecurity support and long-term system lifecycle management rather than relying solely on remote manufacturer support.
The establishment of a direct operation also places Gallagher closer to consultants and specification teams during the early stages of projects.
That is particularly relevant across critical infrastructure and government environments, where security platforms may need to integrate access control, perimeter detection, video, biometrics and visitor management while meeting specific cybersecurity and regulatory requirements.
Gallagher’s latest investment therefore represents more than the opening of another sales office. It reflects a wider manufacturer trend towards establishing stronger regional engineering, training and support capabilities in markets where security projects are increasing in scale and complexity.
