SAS Security Products has officially joined Secured by Design (SBD), the national police security initiative that works to reduce crime through effective security standards.
Based in West Sussex and founded more than 38 years ago, SAS Security Products specialises in the design and manufacture of security solutions aimed at deterring theft and protecting valuable assets. The company’s product portfolio includes anti-theft devices for vehicles, trailers and caravans, alongside robust property security solutions for residential use.
The accreditation comes at a time when theft across the UK continues to rise. According to 2025 figures, around 40,000 motorcycles, 4,000 caravans and 1,200 quad bikes and all-terrain vehicles are stolen each year, highlighting the growing need for effective preventative security measures.
SAS Security Products designs its solutions to address these challenges, providing protection both on the road and at home. Its range is focused on helping owners safeguard high-value assets while reducing opportunities for criminal activity.
Kenny McHugh, SBD Development Officer, welcomed the company’s addition to the scheme and highlighted the value of its product range.
“I’m really pleased that SAS Security Products has joined Secured by Design with their impressive range of anti-theft solutions to help protect a wide range of vehicles,” said McHugh. “I look forward to developing the relationship between SAS Products and SBD over the coming years.”
Jonathan Pons, Managing Director of SAS Security Products, said the accreditation marked an important milestone for the business.
“We are extremely proud to join Secured by Design,” said Pons. “This valuable collaboration allows us to combine our expertise in manufacturing high-quality and reliable security products, with the UK Police Service’s mission to create safer communities. We look forward to working closely with SBD to further protect people’s valuable assets and help turn the tide on rising theft rates. This is a powerful step forward in our shared goal of crime prevention.”
The move reinforces SAS Security Products’ long-term commitment to supporting crime reduction through trusted, police-backed security solutions.
