The buying environment for security technology has become more complicated. Corporate security teams are weighing artificial intelligence, data integration, workforce pressures, supply chain risk, and rising expectations for measurable resilience. Against that backdrop, Global Security Exchange (GSX) 2026, taking place 14-16 September at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, will offer an insightful snapshot of where the market is heading.

A Market Shaped by Risk and Practicality

Organized by ASIS International, GSX brings together corporate security leaders, risk managers, systems integrators, consultants, technology providers, and frontline practitioners. Its education program includes more than 200 sessions across areas such as executive protection, governance, information security, intelligence, investigations, organizational resilience, site security, supply chain security, and personnel security. For buyers, the breadth of topics reflects a broader reality: purchasing decisions are increasingly tied to enterprise risk, operational continuity, and the ability to connect security investments to business outcomes.

Beyond the Product Pitch

The show floor will feature 500 exhibitors across 185,000 square feet, but the value for attendees will depend less on scale than on substance. Buyers are likely to be looking for evidence that solutions can integrate with existing systems, support faster decision-making, reduce operational friction, and address risks that are increasingly hybrid in nature. Access control, surveillance, AI-enabled threat detection, perimeter protection, critical infrastructure security, and resilience solutions will all be part of that conversation.

Several dedicated areas appear designed to move discussion beyond conventional booth traffic. The X Stage will feature rapid product demonstrations, while the Threat Intelligence Zone will examine how actionable intelligence informs risk management. The School Security Zone will focus on prevention and protection in education environments, and Career HQ will address talent development through resume reviews, headshots, and one-on-one coaching.

The Themes Behind the Keynotes

The keynote program also points to the issues shaping security leadership. Peter H. Diamandis, MD, Founder and Executive Chairman of the XPRIZE Foundation and Executive Co-Founder of Singularity University, will open the event with a focus on exponential thinking and emerging technologies. Cassie Kozyrkov, CEO of Kozyr and former Chief Decision Scientist at Google, will address AI and data-driven decision-making. Retired U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills will close the program with a perspective on resilience and adaptation.

Atlanta as a Security Crossroads

Atlanta is a fitting location for that discussion. With global air connectivity and deep ties to technology, banking and finance, logistics, and corporate headquarters, the city reflects many of the operational pressures security teams are managing (i.e., complex infrastructure, distributed workforces, and the need to protect people, assets, and information across fast-moving environments).

For those unable to travel, GSX 2026 will include a digital pass with live access to keynotes, concurrent education sessions, Game Changer sessions, and exhibit hall learning. That hybrid option matters in a market where global teams often need shared access to the same intelligence, even when they cannot be in the same room.
