The new day/night HD 1080p 2.0 MPx real-time network camera from ABUS Security-Center does not even miss the smallest of details – even at long range – in real-time with full resolution. This makes the TVIP52501 the professional surveillance tool for face recognition. With 2.0 MPx (1920 x 1080 pixels) the detection and identification range is up to four times greater, compared to VGA resolution. This yields a surveillance range of 400 percent and enables face recognition from a distance of 16 meters with an 8-mm lens.

The highlight is the integrated SD card slot that enables storage of image data on 16 GB or 32 GB SD cards. This additional decentralised storage option provides maximum security in the event of network downtimes. The digital signal processor (DSP) detects motion in images and corresponding alarms are sent via e-mail. At the same time a NAS or video recorder is started automatically by means of a network storage function and the video data is recorded.

Technical features
Thanks to the progressive scan 1/2.7″ CMOS sensor, the images are transmitted in real-time at 25 frames per second as a flicker-free, full-screen image. Compression is performed using the highly-efficient H.264 or Motion JPEG formats. Quad-stream technology enables the output of four parallel live streams over the Internet or on mobile devices, in the suitable image quality for the device and bandwidth (H.264, MPEG-4, M-JPEG or 3GPP).

Fast installation
Thanks to Power over Ethernet (PoE), no additional power cable is required. The LAN cable serves as both, data and power transmission. . This is particularly advantageous when the camera is located in a position that is difficult to access or in areas in which a large number of cables are not desirable. Combined with a test monitor, the additional analogue video output makes it easy to set up and adjust the camera equipment. The video management software – VMS Express – makes it even easier to install and administer the camera in a clear and convenient manner.

Optimum accessories
A suitable megapixel lens is vital for the professional use of the TVIP52501 2.0 megapixel camera. It is indispensible for making full use of the megapixel technology as it regulates the incidence of light on the camera’s image sensor and thus ensures optimum exposure of the pictures.
