Videx presents the ERA Series video door intercom solution, finalist in the Access Control Solution of the Year Security Buyer Readers’ Awards 2025
The Era Series by Videx Electronics is a new line of compact video door entry units, designed for residential applications but adaptable to different contexts thanks to its versatility and the advanced technologies implemented inside.
Made entirely in Italy, this series stands out for its elegant and functional design, with small dimensions (less than 10 cm wide, less than 3 cm thick), which make it ideal for installations in limited spaces (next to pedestrian or vehicular accesses).
The Era Series is initially offered in a version compatible with the VX2300 system with 2 non-polarized wires, which simplifies installation, reducing time and costs, especially in renovations. Soon it will also be available in 4G GSM version and in IPure version (native TCP/IP system), replicating the same mechanical and functional characteristics also on the other flagship technological systems developed by Videx.
The devices come out of the box in basic configuration for a single user, and are already supplied with the necessary accessories to expand their use up to 4 users or with a numeric keypad for advanced access control.
Everything is done simply by configuring the special dip-switch bench and carrying out a short programming procedure, without the need for PCs and external software.
A highlight is the standard integration of a MIFARE/NFC proximity reader and Bluetooth, which allows gates to be opened via badges, mobile devices and wearable devices.
The Videx Virtual Fob app is already available in the iOS and Android stores, which allows you to virtualize the MIFARE cards and tags supplied as standard and use the NFC technology of smartphones to open the gates connected to the door station, replicating the behavior that users are used to for payments or public transport.
Durability is guaranteed by IP65 (water and dust resistance) and IK09 (impact resistance) degrees of protection, which ensure high performance in exposed outdoor environments.
Configuration is simplified thanks to dip-switches and the possibility of modifying the front key block, adapting the device to specific needs.
The Era series Outdoor Station is offered in various expandable kits, and is compatible with all the other products of the VX2300 2-wire non-polarized BUS system, offering scalable solutions to satisfy the most demanding professionals and customers.
