Europe’s largest IT Security training event returns to Amsterdam

SANS Institute will offer ten courses at mainland Europe’s largest InfoSec training event this May. Secure Europe 2015 will return to the Radisson Blu Hotel in the heart of Amsterdam from the 5th until the 25th of May.

The line-up covers topics including Security Essentials, Incident Handling, Mobile Device Security, Forensic Analysis and Private Cloud Security. Also running at this event is the new SANS course SEC511: Continuous Monitoring and Security Operations led by SANS Instructor Eric Conrad.
Other highlights include DEV541: Secure Coding in Java/JEE: Developing Defensible Applications led by SANS Instructor Frank Kim. The course teaches students how to build secure Java applications and gain the knowledge and skills to keep a website from getting hacked, counter a wide range of application attacks and prevent critical security vulnerabilities that can lead to data loss.

Another noteworthy course is FOR508 Advanced Smartphone Forensics led by Cindy Murphy that focuses on smartphones as sources of evidence, providing students with the skills needed to handle mobile devices in a forensically sound manner, manipulate locked devices, understand the different technologies, discover malware, and analyse the results for use in digital investigations.

·         MGT433: Securing The Human: How to Build, Maintain and Measure a High-Impact Awareness Program

SANS Secure Europe will also include SANS@night talks as well as social/networking functions, free of charge to all students.
