IFSEC 2012 sees Genie showcase their very latest product releases, which include the versatile Virdi Biometric Access Control solutions. The Virdi AC5000 networked biometric reader has been nominated for Access Control product of the year at the 2012 IFSEC Awards.

The complete Virdi range is on show, with visitors able to participate in, live Biometric demonstrations. Virdi’s core functions provide a fully flexible and networked access control system; and installation of the additional Unisworks software adds full Time & Attendance functionality. The AC5000 reader is suitable for external applications – tested to IP65 – and Genie provides a range of stainless steel housings for added security and mechanical protection.

Every day at this year’s IFSEC Genie and Aver are giving away a 4-Channel Nano. All you need to do is leave us your company business card and we’ll enter you in our daily draw. Winners will be announced at 4pm each day.

Genie partnered with Aver Information just over a year ago to promote and distribute their Nano Hybrid Recorders. We believe the Nano to be the best value for money hybrid available; and it looks good too, with a facade more akin to a games console than a security device. Nano supports a vast range of IP cameras – up to 5 Megapixel, as well as all analogue offerings. The 4 and 8-Channel offerings feature fan less technology making them ideal for domestic applications; or situations where noise can be a problem.

HD-SDI is the latest and best technology to make use of “legacy” cabling infrastructures and provide high definition (720p and 1080p) images; without the inherent latency associated with IP based high definition video transmission. Genie was among the first company’s to bring HD-SDI to the industry’s attention in the UK, and we’ve continued to develop new and exciting products, and these are on display at this year’s show. Two storage solutions are available from Genie – one is a standalone HD-SDI DVR, and the other a mixed hybrid platform (HD-SDI, IP and Analogue).

Pixim Seawolf powered cameras are a mainstay Genie range, with each camera utilising our own proprietary binary configuration file which maximises the camera’s performance. The very latest and innovative Pixim Nightwolf chipset, with its superior night vision functionality, is being displayed alongside Pixim Seawolf products. Genie has a live demonstration showing Pixim’s advantages over traditional CCD cameras.

Raptor, Genie’s successful Ruggedised fully functional PTZ camera again forms part of this years show. Raptor is now available with or without integral IR LED’s and we’ve released a model with an anti-saltwater powder coating, making it perfect for coastal installations; or applications where rapid corrosion occurs.

Also on display are the Etrovision range of IP cameras and the complete range of Genie NVR’s (Networked Video Recorder). The NVR’s can “sit” anywhere on the network, i.e. a completely secure location, and accessed via a web browser.

Genie’s flagship analogue DVR’s – the GDVRH series – are now integrated for use on the Immix platform, which is being used by a growing number of Remote Monitoring Stations. The complete range of Genie’s analogue DVR’s are available for visitors to “play with” at the show.
