Roshin Roy, Regional Director at Traka discusses what to expect from the Traka Intersec stand this year, and its wider relevance to region and industry

Stand: S1, A19
Website: Traka.com

Roshin Roy is Regional Director at Traka, heading the company’s business across the Middle East and India. He is responsible for developing and executing the market strategy for ASSA ABLOY’s enterprise key and asset management solutions. Roshin walks us through what to expect from the Traka stand at Intersec this year.

What products and services will you be displaying at Intersec 2026?

At Intersec 2026, we will be showcasing the RED Dot award-winning Traka PRO range of intelligent key and asset management systems. Each system on display will highlight real-world applications in our core sectors, including Utilities, Data Centres and Emergency Services, showing how intelligent key management improves safety, compliance and operational control in such critical environments. Visitors will also see how we have developed customized applications for automated Lockout Tagout, fleet key control and secure management of high-value assets.

How is demand for advanced key and asset management evolving across the Middle East?

Demand has shifted from basic key control to intelligent, connected systems that deliver full accountability and real-time visibility. Across the Middle East, organisations are operating larger, more complex environments with tighter regulatory and compliance requirements. Customers now expect key and asset management to be part of their wider operational and security strategy, not a standalone system. This is particularly evident in sectors such as utilities, data centres, transport, and government, where operational downtime, safety incidents, or audit failures are simply not acceptable.

What specific challenges are organisations in the region highlighting around accountability, auditability and operational control? Also, how is Traka addressing these?

A recurring challenge is the lack of reliable audit trails and over-reliance on manual processes. Paper logs, shared keys, and disconnected systems make it difficult to enforce accountability or respond effectively during incidents and audits. Traka addresses this by automating control at the point of access. Every transaction is logged in real time, permissions are enforced by policy, and managers have immediate visibility across sites. This removes ambiguity, strengthens compliance, and significantly reduces operational risk.

With increasing convergence between physical and digital security, how can Traka products be integrated with wider security ecosystems?

Integration is a core part of our solutions. Traka systems can integrate with access control, identity management, visitor management, building management systems, and ISM platforms through REST APIs. This allows organisations to align physical key access with digital identity and security policies. The result is a unified security environment where access decisions are consistent, auditable, and easier to manage at scale.

What role do you see intelligent key and asset management playing?

In addition, intelligent key and asset management plays a key role in supporting smart infrastructure projects. Several government entities in the UAE have already evaluated Traka technology and chosen to implement our systems across high-profile facilities, ranging from power plants, utilities networks and military to world-renowned museums and iconic landmarks. Traka enables secure, traceable access to critical assets, helping organisations maintain safety, improve operational efficiency, and respond quickly when incidents occur—all essential elements for the region’s ambitious smart developments.

Anything else to note?

What we consistently see is that organisation’s only realise the true value of key and asset management when it is treated as a strategic system that drives processes and not just another security system. Traka’s focus is on delivering proven, sector-specific solutions that are built to specifications to work in live operational environments. Intersec 2026 is an opportunity to demonstrate that maturity and depth of capability.
