Security Buyer is pleased to announce Mike Hurst, Director of the International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO), as a judge for the upcoming Security Buyer Awards 2025, taking place on 1 May 2025. The awards celebrate innovation, leadership and achievement across the global security industry, recognising the individuals and organisations driving progress in the sector.
Mike Hurst’s security and fire industry career began in 1988, with roles across business development, consultancy and executive security recruitment. As Director of IFPO UK and a member of its Global Advisory Board, he champions professional certification, education and career pathways for frontline security officers. He also advocates mental health and wellbeing and holds top-level security certifications from ASIS International and IFPO, while contributing to various industry committees and boards, including ASIS, UK Security Commonwealth, and BSI.
