Murder suspect claims police faked CCTV evidence showing him with the victim

A man accused of killing a Polish factory worker in Sydenham claims that police manufactured CCTV evidence which purports to show a woman sitting in his car as he drove through the town.

Piotr Moczulski, of Newgale Walk, Sydenham, denies murdering Elzbieta Kinczyk. Her badly decomposed body was found in a field in June last year. A post mortem examination showed she had been raped and beaten to death.

Under cross examination, Moczulski rejected CCTV evidence which the prosecution said showed him sitting with another person in his car, driving through the town and heading out of town.

He claimed that police were trying to make a fool out of him.

The jury has retired to consider its verdict today.
