Former Cisco and Verint Executives join KBC’s management team

KBC Networks, provider of industrial transmission equipment, has added two experienced, physical security executives to its management team. Dwayne Smith, formerly of Cisco, joins the company as Director of Engineering and Simon Chen, formerly of Verint, joins KBC as Sales Director for Asia.

“One of the things that sets KBC apart is our depth of experience in all facets of the company,” said John Crockett, CEO of KBC Networks. “With Dwayne Smith fuelling new product development and Simon Chen expanding our reach in Asia, we feel we have a core team that can compete with anyone.”

Dwayne Smith, who previously served as Senior Manager, Hardware and Embedded Video Systems for Cisco’s Physical Security Business Unit, brings more than a decade of experience in the physical security industry and a proven track record of introducing successful new products. Simon Chen joins KBC from Verint where, as Regional Sales Manager for SE Asia, his 16-years experience of physical security enabled him to develop the sales channel and establish a successful distribution model.
