PROMISE Technology to exhibit high performance storage solutions at CeBIT 2011

Company to demonstrate products from enterprise virtual storage and Cloud Storage applications to SOHO solutions at Europe’s leading technology show

PROMISE Technology, a leading supplier of versatile RAID storage solutions catering to customers from enterprise to consumer, announces that it will exhibit at CeBIT 2011, Hannover, Germany on 1st to 5th March, 2011 in Hall 2, Booth B40.

Cloud Storage is a major requirement for IT professionals. In addition to high availability, IOPs-optimized performance, flexiblity and energy optimization features, Promise allows customers to createoptimum solution by combining VTrak S3000 professional storage virtualization platform with fully redundant VTrak Ex30 fiberchannel based RAID storage systems.

Furthermore Promise offers a full range of professional RAID storage systems, all driven by the proven, world-class Promise RAID engine with advanced, robust error handling that provides the highest data availability and reliability. Other products that will be showcased at CeBIT include the company’s VessRAID storage systems, which are ideal for online backup and data archiving, as well as entry level desktop NAS systems for departments and smaller workgroups.

Among the highlights are:

PROMISE’S Storage Virtualisation Platform: VTrak S3000
As storage virtualisation becomes more popular within medium and large sized IT datacentres organisations need one central point to integrate all their storage pools. The VTrak S3000 virtualisation platform offers the highest data availability using a dual No-Single-Point-Of-Failure configuration, combined with high-speed 8 Gbps Fibre Channel interfaces to existing Storage Area Networks.

High Performance and High Availability Storage System: VTrak Ex30
The high performance VTrak Ex30 can be used with existing storage area networks or the VTrak S3000 virtualisation platform. Based on Intel’s newest C3500/5500 processor, PROMISE’s VTrak product line supports dual active/fully redundant storage structures and, in addition to a huge number of IOPs, it also offers a data transfer rate up to 5500 MBps.

VessRAIDfor small and medium sized Storage Environments
These single controller storage solutions based on VessRAID technology are ideal for backup and online archive applications, as well as entry-level market segments. With hot-swappable dual power supplies and fans, and a new and improved drive carrier for a better support of hard disk drives, PROMISE’s VessRAID systems provide up to 224 TB capacities as “just storage”.

Department & Desktop Small Office Storage Solutions: SmartStor NSx700
These 4-bay or 6-bay desktop storage systems are engineered for smaller workgroups, providing centralised file serving, storing and archiving. They offer capacities of up to 12TB, accessible via two 1Gbps Ethernet LAN interfaces.

SmartStor NSx600 MultiMediStorage Systems for Home Entertainment using iPhone/iPad/iPod App
The SmartStor NSx600 integrates a DLNA 1.5 certified Digital Media Server, allowing users to stream most popular media data via WiFi to their personal iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch using the PROMISE App (available via Apple’s AppStore). Up to 8TB of video, audio and picture files can be stored on a single SmartStor to be served to any DLNA-compatible media player
