Nick E. Chatzovoulos is CEO & Principal Consultant of XN Consultancy, delivering high-level security, resilience, and business-continuity programmes across Europe and Africa. With 20+ years of operational leadership across military special operations, international NGOs, and private industry, he builds standards-based governance that protects people, sustains operations, and reduces strategic risk. His hands-on expertise comes from serving at every level of the hierarchy—from security guard to security director—leading teams, vendors, and critical operations in the field.
His portfolio includes service as Director of Security & Safety for a multi-site mining organisation in Madagascar, and as a Security & Health & Safety consultant to NGOs during the Ukraine war. He currently heads the Security & Civil Protection Committee of Active Citizens of Salamina, lectures with the Hellenic Crisis & Disaster Management Institute, mentors aspiring professionals via ALLILONNET, and writes on security for scientific and national magazines.
Selected recognitions include an official commendation from Madagascar’s Ministry of Interior for services to Security, Health & Safety for the local community; an Award of Excellence for Civil Protection & Public Service in Greece; and Ukraine Service and Humanitarian Service medals for meritorious NGO support.
He is the author of Security Environment & Burnout Syndrome—a practical tool for resilience and continuity in security settings—catalogued by the National Library of Greece, and a frequent speaker at security forums.
