The 2025 International Security Buyer Awards opened with an inspiring celebration of leadership, innovation and dedication within the global security sector, with the Judges’ Award for Security Woman of the Year forming a key highlight of the programme.
As part of Security Buyer’s commitment to recognising the individuals shaping the future of the industry, the Security Woman of the Year category shone a spotlight on exceptional talent driving meaningful change.
This year, the award saw an impressive shortlist of finalists who have each demonstrated outstanding contributions to the sector. The finalists included Sarah Armstrong-Smith, member of the UK Government Cyber Advisory Board; Charlotte Wigg of SGC Security Services; and renowned industry leader Bonnie Butlin of WISERCA.
After a highly competitive field, the title of Security Woman of the Year 2025 was awarded to Bonnie Butlin, recognising her long-standing commitment to elevating standards, empowering others and influencing progress within the global security community. Her win reflects Security Buyer’s mission to champion innovators and thought leaders whose work is shaping a safer and more resilient future.
The grand announcement of this category winner, along with all others, took place during a live virtual awards event on Thursday, 19 November 2026.
With free nominations and a focus on celebrating both established and emerging voices, the Security Buyer Awards continue to set a new benchmark for excellence across the industry.
