CNL Software says there is a significant increase in demand in the Middle East for its IPSecurityCenter video management system, driven by increasing demand for integration and cost-savings with PSIM solutions.

CNL is one of the companies at the forefront of the Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) movement and is now working in the Middle East with Lantern Software and Systems, a security systems integrator based in Saudi Arabia which specialises in systems for the oil and gas industry.

CNL said that IPSecurityCenter will enhance Lantern’s range of solutions by providing a software-based integration and management platform that brings together all existing systems under a centralised command and control interface.

“We provide high quality integrated security solutions comprising diverse systems including CCTV surveillance, access control and intrusion detection designed to suit the hazardous and industrial environments of pipeline and plant projects in particular,” said Jabir Shah Hameed, CEO of Lantern Software and Systems.

“IPSecurityCenter provides us with an off-the-shelf platform to integrate all the technologies into one solution for our customers, which is exactly what they want – a single interface pulling everything together and enabling sophisticated C4i functionality at a fraction of the price of bespoke system,” he said.

Ramon Grado, CNL Software’s Director Sales for the Middle East said: “The impact of the current global economy has resulted in organisations looking for ways to reduce costs, but increase security. This has resulted in a significant increase in demand for our PSIM solutions from police forces, governments and critical infrastructure in the Middle East. As a result CNL is continuing to strengthen its channel in the region, by partnering with solutions providers like Lantern. We look forward to working with Lantern on more projects in the New Year.”

CNL Software’s flagship project in the Middle East is responsible for securing a significant proportion of the region’s oil. IPSecurityCenter integrates the entire physical security infrastructure including access control, multivendor CCTV, perimeter detection, fire alarm inputs, IP based intercom, sea and ground based radar detection and GIS/GPS tracking of vehicles and boats.
