Parallel Security, a North Wales-based security firm, has acquired a company in the Midlands.
The firm, which has its head office in Mold, has bought Oakwood Security Solutions.
The acquisition sees Parallel take over Oakwood’s Coventry and Lichfield offices.
Parallel was established in 2014 and specialises in a range of security solutions including site security, mobile patrol, key holding, events and training. The company’s key sectors include construction, healthcare, hospitality and leisure and retail.
Francis Johnson, Parallel’s Managing Director, said: “The majority of our clients are in North Wales, North West England and, increasingly, the Midlands.
“The acquisition of Oakwood Security Solutions, which specialises in key holding and manned guarding, is a strategic move to enable us to capitalise on our growth in the region and further increase our footprint.
“It will also provide us with an excellent base from which to offer our full suite of training solutions for security professionals.
“We are delighted to welcome the Oakwood staff into the Parallel team and we anticipate there being further recruitment across the various divisions of our business over the coming months.”
Parallel Security holds the Security Industry Authority’s prestigious Approved Contractor Status, accrediting it to provide manned guarding, key holding and door supervision. Parallel is also a Highfield accredited training centre.
The company’s success has been recognised by the Welsh Government which includes Parallel Security on its Accelerated Growth Programme (AGP) aimed at supporting some of Wales’ most promising businesses.
