Security Buyer is proud to introduce the Power25 Leaders in Security 2026. The security industry is shaped by people whose work often has impact far beyond the recognition it receives. Across technology, operations, public safety, cyber-physical convergence, education, regulation, standards, advocacy and professional development, individuals across the sector are driving meaningful change every day.

This inaugural list celebrates 25 individuals who are helping to shape the future of security through leadership, innovation, influence and sustained industry commitment. Influence, in this context, is not measured by job title alone. It is measured by contribution: by the ability to raise standards, challenge outdated thinking, support others, create better outcomes and move the sector forward.

Why this list matters

In compiling the list, Security Buyer considered a broad range of impact. That includes technological influence across areas such as access control, video surveillance, identity, interoperability, intelligent security systems and cyber-physical resilience. It also includes social and professional influence: those using their platforms to advocate for better practice, support frontline workers, champion inclusion, mentor others and improve the way the industry develops its people.

The final Power25 reflects the breadth of the modern security landscape. It includes manufacturer leaders, association figures, consultants, campaigners, public safety advocates, cyber specialists, end-user voices, standards pioneers and those working to improve the industry from within. Some are already widely known across the sector. On the other hand, others represent newer, emerging or more specialist areas of influence. As a result, all have earned their place through meaningful contribution.

Mentorship

Similarly, a recurring theme throughout this year’s Power25 is mentorship. For example, the future of security will not be defined by technology alone. In addition, it will also be shaped by people willing to share knowledge, open doors, challenge poor practice and create clearer pathways for the next generation. That commitment matters, particularly in an industry where much of the most important work happens quietly, consistently and often behind the scenes.

The launch of the Power25 also reflects a wider shift in the sector. Security is no longer confined to guarding, cameras or access systems in isolation. It is now central to resilience, cyber security, smart infrastructure, public safety, compliance and organisational trust. The individuals recognised in this list understand that shift and are helping the industry respond to it.

Lastly, to everyone included in the inaugural Security Buyer Power25 Leaders in Security 2026, congratulations. Your work is helping to define the direction of the sector.

As a result, this is more than a list. It is a platform to recognise leadership, amplify important voices and celebrate the people building a stronger, more progressive and more resilient security industry.
